Ah. I watched Chris play Dragon Quest, and it looked entirely too stupid to me. I know you guys are all about the Old School feel, but when you're like me and didn't play video games when you were a kid (because, y'know, I'm a chick and chicks don't do stuff like that because their parents don't think to let them.) It just looks retarded.
I don't know about Grandia. I'm not a big Star Wars fan, though, so Rogue Galaxy is out too.
The only games I've been looking at getting have been Arc of Napishtem and maybe like, Tales of Legendia...and of course Suikoden V and any Dynasty Warriors-like titles that come out, but Dynasty Warriors titles don't fit the rpg thing. |

Well I've been putzing around with a Japanese copy of FF XII, I like it, I wish I could figure it out a little better but I don't read Japanese. The new battle system I like so far, it's like an improved Star Ocean setup. Graphics are pretty and the music is nice. |

That the game is truly awesome and deserved the score or Famitsu is sucking up to Square Enix for the hell of it.

Famitsu arnt exactly what you could call suck ups of square enix, the score they gave Dirge of Cerberus was quite low, only 28 out of 40, barely making the silver award

Not relevant. Dirge of Cerebus is not a game on the same level as Final Fantasy XII. It is a very lame marketing ploy created by Square Enix to sell stuff under the Final Fantasy VII's name that was started up by both Advent Children and the PS3 tech demo. Famitsu probably saw through that poor attempt. Not to mention the game is also a shooter. Last time I checked, games similar were not exactly really selling all that well over in Japan.
My comment, again, was based on that demo. The demo showed something that was far from deserving a perfect score (again, I thought the demo was terrible for something that was so delayed). Just my opinion, remember. |

Eh, sorry about that. I have attaced a bit too much for my Final Fantasy opinions before. You know, fanboys can be annoying. Not saying you are one, but it gets annoying. |
