Now this is what gaming is all about. Not "next gen" crap, just give me games. If they can also put in a clause where all DS games would have a non-touch screen config (tho that would defeat the purpose of the touch screen) then I'd be truly appreciative. MS and Sony won't be able to match this. They're too busy trying to one-up each other to care about us poor slobs. |

And not meaning to bump this but i didn't want to simply add on to the last comment...
-from Gamepro.com
In a pre-keynote interview with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, Mercury News reporter Dean Takahashi came up with several interesting pieces of information concerning Nintendo's plans for the Revolution console.
For starters, online gameplay is a huge part of Nintendo's plan for the Revolution. Iwata pointed out that "only one in ten (Xbox owners) plays online. Our concept is to get 80 percent to 90 percent of the players online."
As as for gamers worried about the Revolution not supporting HD resolutions, Iwata has some comforting remarks: "In the future, Nintendo will release a console that does take advantage of HD." Iwata stressed that waiting for the HD standard to settle into one stable format was one reason to wait.
When asked about the Revolution's price, Iwata's reply was noncommittal but not evasive: "We're still in the process of deciding how we'll release the information." He did add, however, that the Revolution would be playable at this year's E3 expo.
Iwata also stated that he thought he understood why Microsoft suffered from crippling supply problems during its XBox 360 launch, but didn't want to tip his hand to his competitors by explaining their missteps.
And there's one other piece of welcome news: "The Revolution is coming out this year."
I can explain how MS botched the 360 launch...they're Microsoft. |
