So 1up has an Essential 50 article up. They put the top 50 games that are "important to gaming." I've read a bunch of the articles and most of them make sense...

Some of them I don't agree with... Halo for instance. I guess it was important to multiplayer gaming. But eh... whatever... opinions will vary.

So... how much of an Essential gamer are you?

1pt for playing in bold
1pt extra for owning in bold italics

rules for owning...
1. Owned it at one time or another. You don't have to own it right now.
2. Some of these are listed as arcade, but were remade for console... etc. That counts. So do emulators b/c that's the only way you can get some of this stuff. You don't necessarily own that, but it is in a collection of yours taking up space on your HD.

Collective Entries (Macintosh and Game & Watch) count if you have played any of the games... Yay Macintosh football!

For those that don't know... if you hi-lite text and hit the "B" or "i" at the top of the reply box, it will bold or italic it for you.

Total possible score... 100pts.

I'm actually pretty surprised at how many of these games I've at least played!

I'm at 65, I don't think that's too bad considering I was just a wee lad when we got an Atari so I only OWNED the main hits like Pacman and DK although I played alot of classics at one time or other.
