Whats next..... Olympic Crouqet(SP?)?

Actually I heard they had Olympic Ballroom Dancing, but I have never seen anything about it.

Seeing as how they have made some of the most ridiculous things Olympic sports now days, I think they should appeal too the new generation. I want to see Olympic Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear X, Goldeneye, Counter Strike, Armored Core, or anything else that would appeal to the rest of us gamers. This is an outradge. I know there are a lot more people out there that can play Soul Calibur than Badmitten, or Curling(SP?).

OLYMPIC GUNBOUND!

Zot. You know, the all-purpose sound of someing being disintegrated and having their atoms scattered to the four winds?

Watch the Badminton players. They're doing wicked stuff, just like the table tennis players.

While seeing Olympic video gaming would be cool, I somehow doubt the IOC will let it in. Especially with complaints about doping (you know, caffeine) sure to follow.

I think DDR could actually have potential as an Olympic sport, in this case. I mean, at least, when you compare it to Olympic Halo or something like that. DDR is real physical activity.

As far as the sports I usually watch? Mostly just the horses these days. I love the gymnastics too, and watching the Kayaking the other day was sorta fun. But in general, I don't have the attention span to sit there watching a hundred people do the same thing over and over again when I don't know what's going on or how it's judged.

As a side note-- in the Three-Day-Event horse competition, I have positively fallen in love with Nicolas Touzaint's Galan de Sauvagere, even if he -did- screw over his chances for winning at the very end by somehow managing to get over eighteen points docked for knocking over various bars and going too slowly.

Bwahaa! I didn't see Paul Hamm, but I heard all about it. That's just awesome. Of course, combine that with Carly Patterson's luck in the Women's gymnastics, and it's starting to look like us Americans have no talent and all luck.

well if ya didn't hear it...lemme break it down for you

Paul was in First place after three apparatus....on the vault he not only stepped out of bounds, he fell into a judge which dropped him to twelfth place. Then both Romanians messed up enough to open the door back up. On his lat apparatus, the parrallel bars, he scored enough to eek out the gold

Wonderful!

Who thinks that Jousting should be an olympic sport? I'd love to see two guys ram into each other with splintering lances. I get hot just thinking about it.
