DS-Lite, One of the reasons Nintendo sells so many handhelds

Yeah the SP was definatly worth it over the GBA. And the DSL (hmmmmm interesting abbreviation) is smaller, which would be a good thing for me b/c I use 1 case for both my psp and my ds, and right now I really have to sqeeze my DS into it.

But I'm not going to go out and spend anotehr $150 on one.

They state how they are improving it.

I think the REAL reason they sell so many, is that they have good games that people really want to play. And a lot of them.

I want one of those... it would fit in my case better! The current DS I have to squeeze in there. That would fit perfectly!

I have a current model DS, but I'll be getting a redesign.. eventually. One of the few complaints I had with the DS hardware was its bulkiness. Unfortunately it looks like the price is going to remain the same..

My only problem with the current DS is that it doesn't work on G wireless only B. That and my wireless receiver seems to work only when it feels like it.

Yeah but G is backward compatible. It shouldn't affect you any.

Unless you are trying to use G type encryption

I'll probably get a DS lite if and only if it keeps gba functionality and the triggers are still comfy to use (gba sp triggers were rape). I like the idea of adjustable screen brightness, I like the smaller size, and i like the smaller weight. My screen's also receiving some scratches now =/

But I have to agree with whoever said the reason they sell so many is their games - who outside of collectors would do the swap if they didn't like the games? If they didn't like the games, why buy a DS in the first place?

I'd probably stick to the original when I do get one, as quite frankly something will have to go and it'll probably be the GBA slot, my main reason for getting a DS is the fact it plays GBA and DS games (a pity it doesnt play GB games)
